Charlie, the 70 lbs African Spurred.tortoise, that was missing from Petropolis Vet. Clinic since  Monday, August 27, is safely back home. After being reported 3 miles away near Long Rd and Chesterfield Airport Rd. on Wednesday behind the Walgreens.  Search parties had been looking for him ever since.

Charlie was found today, Wednesday, September 5, after being on the "run" for 9 days.  He was found just off Edison Rd,  munching away in a field, less that a mile from Petropolis.  A couple from Troy, MO, saw him walking and recognized him from his "MUG" shot on posters.  They then called to report that they had found him.

We are all very, VERY  happy now -- the original owners, Kevin and Lisa, who had to give him up, myself who found him his new home and Petropolis, his new family.   We all do want to thank everyone who made an effort to look for him.  We greatly appreciate and applaud your efforts.  Words cannot express my gratitude to the couple who found him.

Director, STLTTS
